Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle healing method, which can address a variety of conditions such as pain, stress, anxiety, fatigue, trauma, respiratory and digestive issues and many others. It can also help to significantly improve the quality of life of people with chronic health conditions. Craniosacral Therapy can be beneficial to anyone regardless of age. For decades it has been helpful in releasing birth related body compressions in order to enable children to develop in a healthy balanced way but it can also be a very effective method of liberating adults from pain, discomfort as well as mental and physical imbalance.
CST was developed by leading 20th century osteopaths. It is a holistic method, which means that it addresses the whole person as one complete being in the context of its surrounding. One of its fundamental principles is that the human body has the ability to heal itself as long as it can maintain a balanced state (homeostasis). By optimising the flow of body fluids (cerebrospinal fluid, blood, lymph), balancing the nervous system and releasing fascial tension CST can bring relief in acute conditions as well as prevent the onset of new health problems. Craniosacral Therapy is primarily based on light touch around the head, the spine and nervous plexi (the main junctions of human nervous system).
Craniosacral Therapy has been recommended by leading mental and physical health experts such as Dr Gabor Maté and Bessel van der Kolk.
Jan Regulski is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist. He trained at the College of Craniosacral Therapy in Primrose Hill, London.
Jan combines working as a therapist with his career of a performing musician. Twenty years of experience on stage have allowed him to deepen his interest in the space between emotions and the material world. During that time he also gained some profound insight into complex issues such as anxiety, stress, posture related injuries, fatigue and other long term health conditions.
Jan finds Craniosacral Therapy to be a potent method that allows connection with and release of the roots of pain, discomfort and imbalance. In his practise, he uses a combination of Biomechanical and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, which is often referred to as the Integrated Approach. As a therapist he works with both physical and emotional body-energy-mind associations. He treats children and adults.
Jan enjoys exploring and deepening his perception of energy through practice of Qigong and meditation. He is also an enthusiastic believer in a transformative power of breathing, which he incorporates in his work.
